‘Life is Strange 2’ Struck a Deep, Personal Chord That I Didn’t Expect – Black Nerd Problems

ICYMI: Life is Strange 2’s story hit me personally. I wrote about how the tale of brothers felt so familiar and heartbreaking. You can read the full article on Black Nerd Problems by clicking the link below.

I’m not sure that anything could have prepared me for Life is Strange 2. Not the first game, not it’s prelude chapter (The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit), nor anybody I knew who playing the game. Nothing. I am emotionally broken and it’s a much different feeling from playing the first Life is Strange, because this time it felt personal. So much so, that it completely caught me off guard, making every chapter harder than the last.

Goosebumps is the reason for my love affair with today’s choice based narrative games.  Continue reading My Love For Choice Based Narrative Games

Square Enix Announces New Game Called Life is Strange

Square Enix is working with Dotnod Entertainment on a new episodic adventure game called Life is Strange . While the studio’s last game, Remember Me, didn’t really leave a lasting impression, storytelling seems to be more their forte. So I wouldn’t count them out.

From what is known the game takes place in fictional Arcadia Bay, Oregon where high school senior Max Caulfield is looking for her missing friend Rachel. Max has somehow gained the ability to turn back time, but it has not been mentioned how that works into gameplay. More will be shown at Gamescon. The game is set to release on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Date unknown.
