What new DC Universe game do you want to see?

There may be a new DC Comics video game coming soon from WB Games Montreal, the team responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins. The studio posted a new job listing, searching for a Lead Online Programmer to work on “properties that expand the DC Comics universe in the interactive space.”

This raises a lot of questions about what’s next for DC Comics in games. The biggest games coming from Warner Bros. include the Batman Arkham and Injustice series. There is a possibility that the company is looking to expand beyond those with more games centered around other DC heroes. The position also hints at online functionality being added to all future DC Comic games.

Warner Bros. recently experimented with adding the ever controversial loot boxes to their latest games, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Injustice 2. It could be that the company is looking to add those elements to future games or online multiplayer options.

Whatever games the studio is working on, they are clearly in early development. They recently posted positions for a Technical Director, QA Supervisor, as well as a Senior Narrative Designer.

Rocksteady Studios has also been teasing a new game announcement coming soon. The studio behind the main Batman Arkham games is also seeking new hires. No word on what their next game might be but rumors suggest that we will find out during The Game Awards on December 7th.
