Today during their Japanese Direct, Nintendo announced the “new” 3DS ….. which seems to have the worlds smallest second analog. Whatever, whether it’s small or not at least it’s there. The second analog (which they are dubbing the c stick) will be used as camera controls for games like Monster hunter 4, Final Fantasy Explorers and as smash attack for Smash Bros for 3ds.

This morning The Pokemon Company decided to announce a new Pokemon fight game developed by Tekken creators Namco Bandai games, titled Pokken Tournament. Said to appeal to all types of audiences, both casual and hardcore, Pokken Tournament is supposed to release for Japanese arcades next year. No word on console or a western release.
Pretty interesting to see a fighting game developed by the Tekken Team based on Pokemon. I’m really starting to like the new form of collaboration Nintendo has with it’s third-party partners. I have said before that given their franchises to them would be a smart move and it’s to be paying off. Another co-developed game coming out soon is Hyrule Warriors which seems likely to do well. Lets hope of a console and western announcement soon.
Leave it to Media Molecule to make perfect sense of all the features that seemed useless on the PS4’s controller. Someone at Nintendo should hire some of these guys to do the same for the Wii U’s gamepad.
The quirky and delightful Vita game is getting a sequel on the PS4 and it’s never looked better. Unfortunately that means the Vita is getting nothing and begs the question: What exactly is Sony doing with that system?
Is it a sequel/spinoff to Heavenly Sword? Is that Kai in the trailer? Though Ninja Theory is calling this game an entirely new IP, it sure looks like it. Also, the name HellBlade sure seems like something that connects to the 2007 PS3 cult classic. Nevertheless, the trailer is something to certainly get excited for. Here is to hoping that is does connect to the Heavenly Sword because despite its faults its a world I would love to get back to.
